Where did you get the idea I'm anti-emulation? From that time I sued bleem!?

You said that suggesting that a guy download an emulator for his PC to play his copy of God Hand was a enough to make a man flip his keyboard and that the burden should be on companies to handle backwards compatibility for you, but then did an about-face and called it fair for a consumer to need a record player, PC, some cables, an mp3 encoder, and their valuable time to rip mp3s from vinyl. Is the problem that playing God Hand on the PC doesn't require ENOUGH time and hoops to jump through? If you could copy Final Fight from your PS3 to vinyl and then rip it onto the PC to play on an emulator, would that be cool? If waiting until technology catches up to allow you to convert your old media into a new format of your choice using your own time and resources is fair for music, why is it such a problem for you with games?
The burden should be on companies to handle backward compatibility for you if they want you to continue buying games on their closed platforms, yes. Otherwise, what's supposed to make buying Final Fight on PlayStation a more attractive option than buying Final Fight on any other format? This isn't a question of MP3 versus CD, this is a question of one particular digital music provider versus its many, many competitors. You bought Final Fight on PSN because you wanted to play Final Fight on your PlayStation; if the PlayStation 4 won't play your PlayStation format copy of Final Fight, that makes it a pretty shitty PlayStation!
