There's just zero way to reconcile it, prebuffing would have to have a similar cost to incombat buffing or it'd just be overpowered, and you'd end up in the same dumb ass position as Baldur's Gate 2, giving each enemy NPC a ton of buffs active on them at the start of the fight to 'balance' things.[/quote]
