The instant President Bernie bends in any way to try and start getting things done (which is what one must get done in DC), his supporters will turn on him the exact way the "Obama is just as bad as Bush" people did. Again, Barney Frank is what Bernie should be. He did the thankless, undramatic job of getting the most good done within what was possible. The only thing he refused to compromise on was sugar coating the bitter pill of political reality, and activist shits <i>hated</i> him for it. I trust his opinion on candidates far more than Peter Travers or whatever Rolling Stone hack who can only convey politics in Schoolhouse Rock references (shocker: it is hard to get things passed!
