As for why I think Peterson is right-wing, it's from the whole inciting event of his celebrity. Not necessarily his transphobic freakout over C-16 itself, the part that came after. When his colleague Brenda Cossman, who's an actual professor of Canadian law, explained to Peterson that his interpretation of C-16 was wrong and even did a public debate with him about it, but Peterson did not follow his own rule 9 (Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don't) but persisted with being a very public drama queen over the issue. To me that says he has a political agenda and/or had already clued into the fact that this could be a very profitable grift and he wasn't going to let a few pesky "facts" get in the way of his new meal ticket.
