Those are a pain in the ass to predrill and then drive into the wood. The rope looks like solid braided nylon, used a lot in construction. 500-pound test at a minimum, but that looks even thicker from the pic. It was selected for its ability to hold up the force of a human body dropped from a height of 6 feet. The knot looks like a bowline at the top - won't come off or create stress points in the rope even after being loaded multiple times. The noose knot itself is tied in a way to be more functional rather than cosmetic, the "classic" hangman's noose is simpler but less effective for multiple uses. The height is difficult to gauge from a pic, even when I'm used to constantly looking at photos of temporary wood structures on job sites. It's at least 14 feet high. Clearly, deliberately made for a lethal drop. The people who built did gallows did not make it just for looks. There was considerable, deliberate and dedicated effort to construct a gallows that could be used over and over again. People are trying to deny or minimize the horrific intent of these terrorists that attacked the Capitol on 1/6, and yet EVERY SINGLE PERSON that was on the Capitol lawn could see this. Every person who charged the upper floors chanting "Hang Pence!" knew that the means to do exactly that was waiting for them right on the lawn.[/quote]
