A South African park ranger got bit by a black mamba in the bush. After 2 hours he got to a hospital and the <b>doctor proceeded to argue with him (a wildlife specialist) over whether or not it was a black mamba</b>. The doctor's diagnosis: give him a tranquilizer even though he had a fridge stocked with anti-venom not ten feet away. Black mamba venom interupts motor nerves, eventually blocking the nerves that tll you hear to beat and your lungs to draw air, so a tranquilizer wan't actually a good choice. But the ranger lived, taking two days to recover. He said he was almost wholly lucid during this time but paralyzed. He said he could see nurses pulling up his eyelids from time to time and hear them speculating as to the time of his death. If I were the ranger I wouldn't have given the doctor two days. As it stands that man is the only recorded cas of anyone surviving a black mamba bight untreated.[/quote] I totally did!!! No, seriously, he used his belt as a tourniquet, right? That was some bad shit. And he walked like 20 fucking minutes back to his jeep, and started driving to the hospital. Only when he felt himslef losing control did he swerve in the path of an oncomming van, and pleaded with the driver to help him. But you know what's worse than a black mamba? THAT FUCKING FROG!!!1![/quote]
