Re: The French

Just when I think the US Gov't can't get any dumber, they surprise me with a new low. Granted, the French have prolly had that comming since...the dawn of time, but this is like McCarthy and his congressional buddies passing a law against the color Red because "the commies use it". I understand that its wrong for me to ask the government to use even a minimal amount of logic in its law/decision making, but whats next? The collective chanting of "nana nana naaa na" by whichever party manages to pass their next bill? -Cyrris
France-bashing is fun and all, but this is fucking ridiculous. (It's old news, too, but whatever). For every person that taunts France with a "You'd be living in Paris, Germany if it weren't for the US of A!" there rightfully is a French guy that says "If it weren't for France, you'd be in Pittsburgh, Great Britain." France has been our ally since before we were a nation. They won the Revolutionary War for us. All it takes is President Chim-Chim and his pack of ignorant goons for us to become their bitter rival. The New York Post cover with the Photoshop weasel heads was the last straw. This is a whole country of dipshit imbeciles.
Lets get past your hatred of a president who's biggest crime seems to be believing in Jesus and executing retards like yourself, and place the blame where it belongs: France. France, those fucking weasels. Lets put aside the notion that France is opposing US policy because of a superior moral compass, because we both know that's bullshit. Jacques Chirac's promise that he would vote against a resolution authorizing war "under any circumstances" showed his "Give inspections a chance" ruse to be the steaming pile of bullshit that most of us have suspected since the day Colin Powell first stared incredulously his European counterparts and asked of Resolution 1441, "why'd you sign the fucking thing if you didn't ever plan on enforcing 'the most serious possible consequences you slimy fucking weasels?". France's actions are driven by their desire to the limit the reach of US power and as a fairly ballsy gamble, to assert themselves not only as the leaders of Europe, but also as a global power (as they have been trying to do since DeGaulle attempted to position France as an option to the US and the USSR). Unfortunately for them, it appears almost certain that we are about to call their bluff. The United States will expose the French and the United Nations Security Council as the impotent frauds that they are. ps. If it wasn't Paris, Germany, it would could have most easily been the Soviet State of France.
