Re: Hatred of Bush - explained!

Actually, I hate the President, not because he believes in Jeebus Christ (though, fuck this pledge bullshit, get that God outta there), and not because he allegedly executed a bunch of probably-innocent retards (though I wouldn't doubt it if he did). I hate the President for simpler, less idealogical, more pragmatic reasons. His educational initiatives are going to put thousands of teachers out of work here in NYC (including my wife), while simultaneously increasing the emphasis on standardized testing, which will further degrade the already hollowed-out and fucked-up educational system. Today's teenagers are stupid enough without his help, thanks. The biggest reason that I hate him, though, is that he's creating an international climate of "Everybody-Against-The-U.S!" - every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings, and every time Bubbles does a press conference, some towelhead extremist (am I speaking in terms you understand?) makes another batch of Ricin to put in my subway tunnel. This war on Iraq is going to make it more dangerous to live in the United States - our willingness to move against the UN will just prove to potential terrorists that we're as evil as Bin Laden's been saying. Since we're going to be killing thousands of Iraqis on the idea that they could attack us sometime down the road, I feel comfortable saying that GWB is a murderer of Americans, too, since this War on Terrorism is going to cause more attacks on American soil. If there's another attack on the U.S., the blood of those people are on Bush's hands. Oh, and on the hands of people like you that elected him, I guess - that's what's so nice about this representative republic thing we've got going. Baby Killer!
Between Ayatollah "Death to America" Khomeini seizing power in Iran in 1979 and September 11, 2000 close to 800 Americans lost their lives to radical Islam (including 241 at the Marine Barracks, Lebanon in October 1983 and 224 at the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in August 1998). And while we're chalking up the dead, lets not forgot the 217 quite possible, but not definate victims of terrorism that were killed when an Egyptian pilot decided to crash a jetliner into the Atlantic on his way out of New York Your insinuation that Islamic radicals and the thugocracies from which they hail would no longer be seeking to visit violence up on Americans were it not for George Bush is nothing less than insane. You'll notice, Mr. Chomsky, that George Bush hasn’t been president for the last 24 years and that even during the eight years of the relative appeasement of the Clinton administration these attacks were still happening. Both critics and supporters of American intelligence and law enforcement agencies agree that the events of September 11, 2000 took several years of planning. Given these facts, lets lay to rest your already weak theory of George Bush's semi-articulate press conferences having any impact whatsoever on those who wish to do harm to America. With your "Bush's Fault" theory proven to be nonsense, lets take a few seconds to laugh and roll our eyes at your "War on Terrorism is going to cause more attacks on American soil" sentiment. Total bullshit. I agree that there will probably be more attacks on American soil, but not because we have chosen to defend ourselves. Surely you can’t honestly say that when these fucking savages were plotting out their attacks they assumed for a second that America would fail to react? You might argue that Clinton's failure to respond in any substantial way may have lulled them into a false sense of security, but I find it highly doubtful they could have expected to be let off so easily forever. In addition, how many attacks have there been since 9/11? And how many have you heard of being stopped (admittedly through dumb luck sometimes and with a lot of stupid fucking traffic light warnings along the way) in that same period? Like it or not, there is progress in the war on terror. The blood spilled by fighting it will be far less than that which would come from failed attempts at appeasement or sitting idly while being held hostage to the demands of irrational animals.
