I honestly can't tell if I like or hate this game. I do know that SH1 was much more of a mindfuckingly evil experience - maybe it allowed me to acclimate too much to the SH style to be surprised by much of SH2. Rise Of Nations is maddening to me. I *know* that I'm sick to death of top-down RTS games. I will never enjoy another one again. Yet I kept hearing how fucking brilliant this game is despite it being not much more than an Age Of Empires clone with lots more options. I finally succumbed to the hype that people I ordinarily trust were building up for it. I bought it. And they're right - it's AoE with more options. And it'd be brilliant if I weren't COMPLETELY FUCKING BURNED OUT ON RTS GAMES. How fucking idiotic is my stupid ass, anyway? So yeah, it's great if this is your kind of game. And I know that if Fabio doesn't shut up, I'm going to get C&C Generals next... goddammit. I just got the Tribunal expansion for Morrowind. I started a new character. If you don't know, in this game once you build up enough "xp" to go up a level, you have to sleep in order to gain the level... and when I did to go up to JUST TO GET TO LEVEL MOTHERFUCKING TWO, just the second goddamn level in the goddamn fucking cockSUPERSUCKYsucking game, I was surprise-attacked by some overwhelmingly powerful ninja wannabe who pointblank just fucked my whole shit up with enough REAL ULTIMATE POWER to destroy a planet. It took maybe six reloads, exhausting my meager supply of potions and spells before I could take the motherfucker down. So I celebrate by trying to go back to sleep to heal up, and HOLY FUCKING SHIT ANOTHER ONE WHAT THE FUCK. It took another two reloads to kill the guy, then I wise enough to leave the inn I was in to ask a guard about it, which apparently ensured that I wouldn't get attacked a second time when I tried to heal up. Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK. At least I got some nice l3w+ out of it, but if this game is going to kick my ass around this harshly this early on, I hate to think of how much worse it's going to get. Still, Morrowind is a captivating game in many ways and I think an RPG uberfag like you would dig it mightily. Tribunal - I'm not quite sure about yet as I'm not anywhere near exploring any of the new areas in the game. Fabio is right about GTA3, and he's wrong about GTA:VC. They're just like Dynasty Warriors 3 and 4 - I can't tell which game is better, all I know is that they're both great. Maybe I'm such a pathetic child of the 80s that GTA:VC's intangibles allow me to overlook its flaws. And based on my poor friend's experience with it, stay the everloving fuck away from Empire Of Magic. Not only does it just LOOK like a second-rate HOMM/Age Of Wonders clone, but we haven't been able to get the motherfucker to so much as load the main menu before crashing (and this is after patching it). And when this bad boy crashes it does some pretty crazy shit - such as all the text in your Windows menus disappearing (so all you see is underscores under the hotkeys) and disabling most of the features of your mouse so all you can use is the basic left and right buttons.[/quote]
