Re: Lionheart

Q: Is Lionheart party based? A: Yes and no. You create one character at the beginning of the game. During the course of the game you will be able to allow some other characters in the world to join your party and adventure with you for some quests, but this is your choice. You will also be able to summon magical allies to aid you during combat. So you can play with a party if you want, but if you want to solo the whole game, you can.
Anyone know the hard upper limit for how many characters you can have in your party? This should be the first thing listed in any FAQ about a role playing game. I'm still pissed that Freedom Force and KotOR caps you at four. Additionally! Please, somebody tell me that you can start a multiplayer game, create six of your own guys in Lionheart and go forth that way. This Ultima VI find-our-pretty-and-unique-prebuilt-NPCs!!! shit drives me up the fucking wall. I'm sure that such a trick won't work, though, as they'll take their cure from Bioware (who did not allow this in Neverwinter Nights). This is exactly why Baldur's Gate II is still relevant -- it's the last decent top-down RPG that gave a shit about its player and cared more about his/her experience instead of trying to show off a bunch of NPCs that you're going to hate for being so fucking annoying. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
