The graphics card you have selected is underpowered already and will not serve for too much longer. That's a bad are to be stingy these days, unfortunately. I have about two gigs of ram and don't regret springing for the extra gig at all. Cache can make a difference, but it largely depends on what you use your computer for. When you have a program dealing with a very large amount of data that needs to be on hand at once, a lot of L2 cache can really reduce running times, but other than that, I don't know.
