Re: Good point. I find ending a post title in an ellipsis is awesome because...

I mostly remember a game of horrible ugly squares versus triangles, but i'm pretty sure taking the time to reclaim wreckage for resources in a game with unlimited resources is retarded.
I'm pretty sure it's not, seeing as how resources are limited by how fast extractors gather them, how many metal spots there are on a map(hint, don't play metal maps, this is like commenting on Starcraft when you play money maps), and how much energy you're putting out(metal makers). Wreckage is instant and fast, your normal economy is not. If they're using metal maker farms? Blow one metal maker up, the rest will follow because metal makers explode violently and cause a chain reaction. Alternatively, destroy their energy capabilities. Learn the economy of the game before commenting on unlimited resources.
If you two are looking for a way to make this fight any gayer, i believe this is your best option. I'm not positive on how beating Fabio in a game he hates proves how great it is, but he sounds pretty sure of himself so what the hell.
He said the entire point of the game was spamming and that shows how much he knows about the game. Hating it when you don't know how it works is stupid. I'd kick his ass even if spamming units was the point, but it's not. The fact is he's commenting on a game that has a learning curve; yet again, like commenting on Starcraft when all you've played are money maps. This is disregarding that he obviously hasn't played with a human and is playing with the atrociously bad AI, which is no excuse, or playing the campaign, which, yet again, is bad; neither are essential to an RTS.
"Turn up the resolution. When it still looks terrible hit yourself in the fucking head you IDIOT."
It looks good to me, but then again, I don't give a rat's ass about graphics. Unlike some people, I can enjoy a roguelike.
It's so slow
Turn the speed up if you're that impatient.
and boring
Opinion, but wait. Care to tell me how Starcraft is more fun?
with dozens of hard to differentiate units
OH WAAAH WAAAH, IT TAKES ME FOREVER TO LEARN HOW THE UNITS WORK BECAUSE I'M A MORON
and wreckage blocking everything
Construction aircraft, patrol the area. It takes all of three clicks and it'll get rid of enough wreckage.
and every attempted strategy takes so long to play out against the turtle meatgrinder
The game is anti-turtle unless you're playing on a metal map(stupid idea unless you're playing for the hell of it) or a map where one person starts out on a mountain and you have no high ground to speak of.
and 90% is sitting around ordering stuff to be built or waiting for stuff to be built
Really, now? I spend MORE time in Starcraft ordering units to be built and building structures thanks to the 5-unit queue and the lack of a build queue entirely, plus I spend more time waiting for buildings to be constructed because there's jack shit I can do to help something build. I spend all of 8 minutes altogether over an hour-long game of TA building but I spend the entire game waiting for my units to be built because I never stop building once I get going. I happen to use shift-queueing, though, and queue hundreds of units in advance so I keep my factories busy(takes all of 1 button held and 20 clicks and I can do around 6 clicks a second, 3 at a leisurely pace), only changing when my economy can't support something or when I need a fast counter to something. If I need construction units, it's either at the beginning of the game or a group of them got destroyed(which does happen, seeing as how I set one to build a long queue of buildings and the rest to guard, only intervening if they're spamming my text buffer with "destination blocked")
