Nevermind. It's Awesome.
Things I wish I knew when playing through the game the first time First time through Single Player, play the chick with the furry hat. Her faster moving speed will make avoiding the bullet patterns a million times less frustrating. While Ivan Drago is the better character, he's a million times better playing in the sped-up EX-Mode you unlock after beating the game. In normal mode he's just torturously slow. Note that I think he'd be awesome alongside the furry hat chick in Co-Op normal mode. Your rank at the end of the level determines how many upgrade points you get. Your rank is based on how much damage you take. Armor upgrades are dirt cheap and will pay for themselves. Even if you S-rank your way through the whole game, you won't get enough points to buy all the upgrades. Don't sweat it, though, the difference between a level 1 and a level 2 weapon is very slight. The only upgrades you need are guns 2 and 3, then maximizing your gun coolant and recharge levels. Everything else is gravy. If an enemy's melee attack seems unavoidable, try using your shield. You may actually dizzy them from the contact. If you find yourself swarmed by enemies, bear in mind you often can back up several screens to thin them out. Final Thoughts Once you beat the game, you unlock a Smash-TV-esque Arena mode and it rawks. Plus beating arenas with an A rank or better unlocks EX mode and the cheats. EX mode increases the speed of the entire game and solves my number one complaint: the ponderous pacing of the melee combat. The third character you unlock is the best attempt I've ever seen at creating a unique "wizard" character in a 3rd person action game. Final verdict Positive and highly recommended.
