A Good Look for Women
I currently work in a grown up person's office building, in the middle of the grown up part of town -- not the new media ghetto situations I'm usually in. I have to wear a real shirt every day, for example. The food establishments and courts are packed with suits. It's really strange to look at, but I guess for some of you with engineering jobs or whatever, it's nothing. Anyway, here's the point of this post: a good look for women is the "I'm a hot slut barely contained by this business attire". A look that other women hate; nothing technically inappropriate with the outfit, but the overall package is so hot, all men give a second look. Some go back to the office and write a post about it. YMMV. I know we're all nodding in agreement, and I'm saying nothing new, but I also want to speak of how the look can only be pulled off by some. Porn makers try to capture it with movies like "Specs Appeal vol. n" but they go too far into the realm of "librarian who lets out her hair bun to reveal a nymphomaniac". Besides, once I see the giant stripper tattoos on the girl, the illusion is destroyed anyway. Sub-hot girls will also attempt the look and fall short by merely adding tall boots to their gray office skirt outfit. This may feel daring to them, but it just looks kinda sad. Like they might rave about buying the boots in their LiveJournal while simultaneously defending the purchase to unseen people who didn't even care about the boots in the first place. "I don't care what anyone says, I think they're great!" These hot women I'm speaking of though, they just have the hot boots. Psh. They don't even remember buying them. It's just all part of being hot. This is a very half-formed concept I'm trying to articulate. I'm going to ruminate on it a bit more.
