Re: Personality is third place

"Up to six feet," Fearless Mum confessed to me, impromptu, "she's fine. I pray she doesn't get taller than that though."
I bet this girl curls like a fern if she grows taller than 6 feet. What a terrible Mum. I’ve ran into many 6’3” 6’4” girls with terrible posture who’veshown an interest in me only because they felt normal sized next to me. I say only because I never liked them enough to make an effort to impress them in other ways. I feel like I could have any of them. It’s the same feeling of entitlement I have around Asians. I blame their parents.
A niggling self-correcting internal voice, gently murmuring "but you're beautiful mentally" was unhelpful; it churned a dismal butter from the cream of my discontent. "But you're interesting!" What complete nonsense. (Back at work, I discussed the matter with the HR Director's secretary. She too opined twaddle on the level of "but you have a sparkling wit," with the even-more-unhealthy "well when I wore a scoliosis brace in junior high, I had to develop a personality!" Proof absolute that personality is the red-ribbon prize, a permanent second-best to a 34" inseam and even white teeth.)
That’s what I’ve been saying. Here’s my opinion of the weighting of the basic criteria for finding a partner: 20% personality; 40% proximity; 40% circumstance. If you’re proximate to someone of similar circumstances for long enough, you’ll only need enough personality to push it over the edge and no more! It’s overrated and proximity and circumstance are way underrated (beauty is a circumstance in my theory). Push bikes will help you lose weight and tone the legs, so they're a good start, but you should have taken care of this shit a lot time ago.
Nothing can help me lose weight, Quentin; I have a pie for breakfast and a $15 lunch at Taco Bell. Do you have any idea what you have to order to spend $15 at Taco Bell?! I have to phone in advance. I saw Flashdance for the first time three or four days ago. Also: Aliens! A one-two punch setting me up for the Blonde Fall.
