You sell yourself short! I bet the actual gameplay on your part is fantastic. Are you licking the top of the bishop's hat enticingly? I do, and it will either bring forth in my opponent great lust or great disgust. Either is fine, it need only distract long enough for me to obtain that elusive second castling.
Last says, below, that he feels the game is about one's opponent fucking up. I'm usually the one fucking up because I don't have enough patience to think things through. It is also unseemly to distract your opponent during play. I'd like to draw from the dozens of games I played of NHL2K3 with Pinback. After he got up to speed, the games would break down as follows:
- If I were chatting at him non-stop, he would not be able to both absorb the verbal abuse I gave him, and play well enough to win
- I would lose every game played in silence
I would advise you, Zseni, to unleash a string of hurtful profanity, unflattering caricatures and shocking accusations upon your opponent, to see if that improves your overall "game score." If you are playing against a computer, this will be difficult, but some older games allow for modem play - if the computer recognizes data over COM3, you can affect it. The original 8086 spec for that port, while elegant and timeless, did not - does not - provide a mechanism for the PC to stop listening.
