Installed the free release candidate, like it a lot by Rafiki 07/04/2009, 4:25pm PDT
It's Windows7 Ultimate, will work until June 2010. Then it will shutdown every 2 hours until you buy a real version.

Hardware worked fine, no problems. Didn't even need to download new drivers for anything, except for Realtek audio for the extra features. Wifi, wireless keyboard/mouse, everything just worked.

The new taskbar is awesome. Really. I can't stress this enough.

If you have to reinstall like I did (Vistax32 to Windows7x64), it dumps all your old Windows folders (Windows, Program Files, Program Data, user accounts, etc) into a folder called Windows.old. All your old programs and files in those folders are there, just not properly installed and registered. Other folders are blown away (I think. I have 2 drives and save all my important shit on the non-OS drive). So if you want to be lazy about backing up and don't have a second drive, just dump everything in one of those folders.

Haven't noticed any performance problems or anything in games. Steam works just fine.
