Impressions from someone who has never read the comic:
-The first few minutes were totally awesome, especially the fight where The Comedian gets killed. That fight scene was amazing! I wish the whole movie was like that.
-It was fucked up that they changed "The Times They Are A-Changin'" to be twice as long. They should have just played two different songs back to back. May I suggest "If I Had A Hammer"?
-Mrs oK: "So, is this movie like a live-action version of The Incredibles?"
-As a Leonard Cohen fan, I hope I never, ever see his version of "Hallelujah" played beneath a love scene ever again. GROSS!
-Rorshach in prison was the best part.
-I'm not sure how they managed to totally whiff the drama of killing tens of millions of people but they did it. It was not shocking or surprising at all. It just seemed like it didn't matter.
Overall: I can't think of a superhero movie I liked more but that's not saying much. =( |
