The switchouts work quick enough, everyone can play whatever instrument and i'm glad they did away with me relying on my imagination for getting new clothes for the premade characters, as they brought back unlockable outfits. So i was immediately excited about unlocking a bunch of shit I will never use like some kind of retard. THE BEST and most awesome new feature that needs to be in all plastic guitar games is the challenge they created for every song. So now a full band effort is not just compromising on song choice, not getting stuck with bass and attempting 5 stars, you have solo or team based background objectives. They don't change the way you play, at all, but they add a wonderful tension and add yet another excuse to call teammates FUCKING BLIND JESUS. Team based note streaks, whammy barring, stupid upward twanging bass, hitting a certain score with star power, nothing too crazy so far. The likelihood of fistfights or guitar to faces isn't as high as it would have been (extremely high) if they hadn't done away with forced bass, it was a nice experiment and i appreciate the option but i'd just as soon rock. Selectable XBL avatars are the best (only) reason to change what your guy looks like, mine is still perfect
