I am using piracetam as well, and I can't tell if it works. I too am comforted by its safety. I was surprised to learn that dosing for infant myoclonus ranges above 20 grams daily, well above the most generous adult nootropic regimen. There's an apocryphal story that the FDA initially refused to approve piracetam because of its inability to produce any negative side effects. They didn't believe that something seemingly inert could have any meaningful effect on the human body.
