I always wondered about the crappy Playstation d-pad. Was that just a gimmick to make their controller seem different from the SNES controller or whatever? Or did it actually benefit somebody? Did it train a lot of people to daintily peck at the directions with the tips of their thumbs? That would be sad.
Hated it! Assumed it was the only config left that hadn't been patented. Bought Mad Catz controllers multiple times till we started going through those like tictacs.... not good controller, for the ps. Liking the shift to twin analogs better, but for as much shit as the Gamecube gets, I gotta say that was a damn fine gamepad there. Sturdy and functional. You could fuck on it. |
