| oh wait did i say aqua never posted with Chang again? i meant she never posted with THAT Chang again. she made some other accounts for him but heh it was always kind of easy to tell which ones were her because
only Chang that showed up and got replies from Mifune. Mifune, Mifune. i had to campaign for Mifune, or rather Sofia. the details are not particularly relevant. it should just be understood that i bent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over backwards to give Sofia an excuse to talk with me all of which came to a head when a put up an open post with some rather specific details: a very polished presentation, an evening supper, one of the items on the table was this particular sort of lithuanian cold-smoked sausage with garlic and juniper. i mean, it was not a kinky post, it was not a conspicuous post, it was just a post with some particular details. a day later, Mifune replied to this post (i was so pleased with my success that i celebrated with champagne (in a freezer mug)), and he and Jareth proceeded to have dinner and chit chat. not a lot of fucking but my what a dancer. and off in another non-RP-based community, i was blithering about feminism and rape theory (Sofia thinks about these things a lot) where Sofia could see it, and Sofia commented, and we had a civil conversation in the middle of which she said "ha ha... uh.. i guess you should know... we've met before" oh really, i cooed "yeaaaaah uh i'm the Mifune player" quel surpris. well my dear girl we really must talk some time. i mean, it took me straight up baiting her and routing her and even then: spending several weeks breaking down her inhibitions on IM - not the sex kind, she doesn't have those, but she was really uncomfortable talking to a relative stranger well worth the effort; she had a very interesting history, lived all over europe and the US, bracingly unsympathetic, totally uninterested in prosecuting me for my crimes against Aqua alleged or otherwise. good company, and would enthuse at length about pickled herring. but our budding friendship had to be kept strictly under wraps for fear of giving offense to Aqua it was never formally stated; i understood the situation without having it smacked over my head. besides, Sofia was well worth this small indulgence. and totally aside from that, my fame was continuing to grow throughout the RP world. incidentally all this nonsense was tangential to my breakup with the WS. he didn't care about it, aside from politely admiring some of the fanart that various people would make for Jareth-as-i-played-him; i didn't speak of it at any particular length, and it was never the case that i stiffed him to spend time with my legions of fans and enemies. but when we separated this was, admittedly, a very useful and consoling hole in which to crawl. the ache of loss was soothed a little by having an email inbox stuffed full every morning with pleasantly manageable scorn and young women begging for my attention. |
