Keep action points in reserve for snap fire.
Leapfrog your guys if you can stand the snail's pace.
Move in pairs, one guy in a crouch so they don't friendly fire each other.
Don't stand too near each other, or you can lose an entire team to explosives.
Use rockets/grenades to clear out line of sight for your gun teams sitting on a full stack of actions. (blowing up alien stuff does reduce salvage, even the walls and superstructure)
I find terror missions to be a pain. The slower you move the more civilians get wasted. If you move too quickly, you'll slip up and your team members get gibbed. I used to try to get global coverage as soon as I could afford it, so my fighters could try to interdict as many alien ships as possible, even if I couldn't deploy mop-up teams to the crash sites. |
