Space Hulk by Lizard_King 05/25/2011, 6:51pm PDT It's really good as a 2p boardgame. It's also really good as a freeware knockoff singleplayer game, where you are the marines against AI aliens. I haven't played very much x-com, but I can see where you would get the idea that they are similar. While some mechanics are surprisingly close when you take them on their own, the overall experience of playing the games is very different. Space Hulk thrives on its simplicity, whereas X-com is really about layers of strategy on top of tactics with a hefty dose of RPG.
