Be extremely compliant, i.e. do everything you're told, and be proactive about your self-care and you will be totally FINE. Highly recommended--hit the gym ASAP and avail yourself of any fitness-oriented PT while in the hospital. Yes, you feel like you're going to spill open, but no, it won't happen. Also, Vit. Yep, definitely gonna work with the doctors here to be as proactive as humanly possible. Glad you're still kicking. I've benefited in the last week from the finest surgical team a guy in North America can ask for. Today the main surgeon suggested I needle the other surgeon about the finer points of liver failure when I see him tomorrow. "I hear all kinds of hypothesis and theories, but no results", he suggested I say. I'm fine with sparking collegial smack talking from two of the best guys in the entire world, who also happened to save my life. :D |
