| Years ago I was working as a door-to-door political canvasser in Sensenbrenner's district. One of the things my group did was pass out scorecards for the voting records of their local congressmen. On one side was democratic senator Russ Feingold, on the other side replublican representative Jim Sensenbrenner.
One guy I quickly identified as a non-giver, so I handed him the scorecard and prepared to go on my way. He looked at the scorecard and balked, "Hey, why do you have the good-looking picture of the democrat and an ugly picture of the republican?!!" "That's his official photo, sir," I replied, "He's just not a very good-looking man."  |
