I personally don't oppose eventually bringing back a more subdued, sane version of LF in the future. Who are these people I'm referencing? I'll give you a hint: if you are reading this post and are getting all full of internet rage at me, then YOU are one of them, and this is probably YOUR fault.

At some point in time, LF regulars decided their forum was apparently above the rules, and no moderation here applied to them. If and when we create a replacement forum, we will make it crystal clear that this simply isn't the case. I don't care if you think all the mods here are moronic lumps of rancid dogshit; as long as you're on the forums, mod sass is against the rules, and breaking the rules will result in a ban. So is mod stalking, mod death threats, and all the other various forms of utter retardedness that went on in there.

So in summary, I think there's a place for an LF-type forum on SA. However, I also think this replacement forum, like all others, must abide by the basic rules like each and every other forum here. Also I'd really appreciate it if this forum didn't cause the Secret Service to visit me three times a month, to issue subpoenas on its active members. And I would also appreciate it if people didn't stalk, harass, and threaten to kill our volunteer mods who don't get paid to clean up your messes. If you have an issue with a mod or admin, IM me about it. Try to communicate to me in a rational, coherent way; simply writing "HES A FAG" and making it bold won't help your case much.
