Why is it whenever a game is about to come out in the best possible form for the customer, people start begging developers to give them the inferior option? Just because it's popular? What is the advantage to you, the customer of running your games through steam when the DRM-free option is available?
I have a lot of faith in the premise that 20 years from now, Valve will still be around and Steam will still be, if not a thriving platform, at least a decent archive. I have zero faith that some Tohufag with a 39.95$ 5000 megabyte-per-month bandwidth hosting service will still be mirroring shittyschmup.exe in 20 years. |
