So there's an elderly couple whom I love dearly and whose idiot 50-something-year-old daughter lives with them and has apparently been torrenting or otherwise pirating NBC Universal shows, based on a couple of complaints my friends have received via e-mail.
They know NOTHING about the Internet, but I want to keep idiot daughter from getting them slapped with a huge judgment from a media company or from losing their 'net access altogether.
What a nosy bitch. If my life were in a shambles to the point where I was 50 and living with my parents and came home to some asshole friend of theirs desperately trying to fuck with the router settings, I'd stick a foot up her ass. Where the fuck does she get off? If you want to help, "jerri," tell everyone how to "pirate" shows from NBC off Usenet. Getting torrents of The Office so she can watch them at her leisure is probably the only pleasure in her life.
God, jerri is worked up about some adult getting television shows, shit they freely show over the airwaves. Enough to post a thread about it.
She gets her access through an Ethernet connection running from their Netgear router. Is there anything I can do in the router to put a stop to her torrenting? I could probably firewall some ports, right? I don't think the daughter's savvy enough to bypass something like that.
Yeah, what a dumb bitch, not being savvy enough to bypass the router's admin settings. Maybe she has some group on the Internet she can ask, though, for help because she's too stupid to do it herself.
And no, talking to her about it won't help. She's shown nothing but contempt and disregard for them.
This poor woman refuses to discuss her browsing habits with a busybody, meddling stranger. Qt3 people have a way of posting a story they are sort of involved in as a minor actor and becoming the worst person in it. |
