It sounds to me like you have a hard-on for a type of humor that you aren't capable enough to deliver without needing to grudgingly cough up a joke-killing explanation afterward. That's fine. Whatever turns your crank, right? And you're better off than the centaur fetishists - your fantasy could conceivably become real! Maybe one day you'll get up the courage to test yourself on that real-life standup stage you so glibly invoke, and you'll practice and practice and just maaaaybe? possibly? become like your heroes, able to seduce nubile young audiences with your witty reworking of their own hypocrisies. But right now, your act is falling flat with your partners, and you need to listen to them. What's the measure of a comedian's success? Is it that he's "objectively funny" in his own opinion? Or is it that he didn't have to come crawling back after the act like a worthless bag of slop to explain his joke and try to convince everybody of how funny it was?
You're hungry for varsity-level humor, and you might think you're ready for it, and you might be right! But it's not only your call to make. Because it takes two to laugh at a joke. Even if Andy Kaufman is the one making it.
