| I'm playing on hardcore mode which was a bad decision. I can't swordfight anything because I take two hits and die, whereas even goblins will take numerous power attacks. BUT, I am enjoying twirling by flaming staff and beating the shit out of people, even though it takes an incredible amount of hits. Timing and aiming the double swings (whack one guy upside the head, thrust the next) is fun and challenging. When I get bored, I kick them into things. But the beginning was pretty fucking atrocious until I got a healing spell and realized that staff>sword.
Goblin: Please! He's going to kill me! Please! Me: *WHACK WHACK WHACK WHACK* Goblin: *writhes on ground* Please! Wife: I think you should use the sword. Me: But I can knock them over with the staff. *WHACK WHACK WHACK* I just get killed when I use the sword. *WHACK* Goblin: Please! *groan* Me: You just don't like watching me beat a tiny man to death with a stick. Wife: It's less damaging to my psyche when you use the sword. The Earthfire sword looks like a flaming piece of shit on a stick. I can swordfight weaker enemies now, but orcs still just fuck me up. Killing 6 ghouls by fending them off with a staff and pushing them onto instant kill spike traps feels pretty "boss". The pandering in this game is out of control. Your sidekick has a face that looks about 14, huge tits, and a skirt with a slit that goes directly up the crotch. OFC, falls immediately in love with you. |
