The first time I played Elevator Action Returns, the ejecting brass literally blew my mind. It also had one of the most satisfying FLAMING DEATH animations I'd ever seen.

Like Faster Harder More Challenging Q*Bert, Twin Qix never actually made it into production. I guess by 1995 even Taito had to realize the entire concept of non-pornographic Qix was obsolete. Apparently YouTube agrees, because I couldn't find a single video of it :(

Puchi Carat had arguably the best premise for a video game, ever: it was a Puyo Puyo-style competitive versus puzzler, but instead of strategically matching beans to screw your opponent, you just had to play Arkanoid really fucking well. I always picked the rabbit guy, I found his carrot-eating animation strangely hypnotic O_o
