| It became the endless, tired grind toward victory that all of these dumb goddamn games become. I went Alpha Centauri because the boredom was tangible.
HOWEVER, I did notice that the end of the tech tree features a "GIANT DEATH ROBOT" as your ultimate military unit. I immediately pronounced Civ5 the greatest of all Civ games, and given the above information, there is literally no decent argument against my proclamation. Giant death robot. It keeps getting better as they add words. Arguably you could add "spider" to the end of it and it would have been greater still, but this is what we have. This is today. |
