PR advice on how console makers could block the used games market. One of the things noted was the way Steam has been able to get away with this, primarily because they charge less as a game ages, e.g. the Orange Box was $49.95 when I bought it and I think they offer it now for either $19.95 or $9.95 now (I just checked; it's $19.99).

But any way you look at it, locking out used games is bound to be a lose for the consumer and a win for the developer.
