Good job by GOG. I don't care for the game, but it's a coup for the site. by skip 02/18/2013, 8:23am PST This game has been in copyright hell for years. Good for them for finding a way to get it out. They also deserve kudos for getting the Black Isle games and King of Dragon Pass and for getting some great PR out of kickstarters. If they can convince Lucasarts/Disney to license their games to them, they'll knock out a significant percentage of the community wishlist. The biggest problem I have with GOG is the one same one Steam tried to solve with Greenlight - they're getting overrun with subpar modern indie games. Unlike Steam, everything except MOO3 gets 4/5 stars. It's funny to release Daikatana because everyone knows the story behind Romero's meltdown, but releasing games like Ceville and Tiny and Big next to Stacking and Hotline Miami with only a half-star of difference between them means it's impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff. You also can't sort reviews by rating so finding people who disliked a game for whatever reason becomes harder. If they're serious about becoming a site for modern games, they need to find a way to curate as gogmixes are a weak solution at best.
