| NBC has a game show called American Ninja Warrior that they even admit in the ads for it that no one has ever gotten through it. And watching it, I can see why. The requirements are so strenuous and the obstacles so difficult that it is well-nigh impossible for someone to complete.
In that respect, it differs from I Wanna Be the Guy in one respect. As ridiculous as that game is in terms of it trying to kill players, some people have actually completed the game. It reminds me of the fake game shows they had on the movie The Running Man where they threw ridiculous obstacles at people to force them to fail, like having a guy chased up a crawlspace by nasty, vicious German shepherd/rottweiler dogs, only to gas the guy so he falls (and is presumably mauled to death) when he gets to the top of the climb. |
