I should read some of his stuff before criticizing but this is how every terrible terrible terrible internet critic writes. "Everyone says this, which is wrong, therefore, presenting a case for the opposite must be insight."

"Everyone" is always saying dumb things. "Gays deserve to be as miserable as everyone else," is this literally why people support gay marriage or are there maybe other reasons people say that.
