I knew they had to replace his blood after setting it up so early, but that was AT LEAST their second time trying to escape from that building. Why did they need to escape? All they needed was info on where the cerebrate was, so why not just stab yourself in the office and reset the day? From the wiki, it sounds like the manga had a much better ending - the guy and girl are BOTH loopers, but they need to kill a whole bunch of antennae around the world to kill the aliens. Then at the end they have to fight to the death since they themselves are acting as antennae, which I guess were changed to alphas in the film. A finale where Rico's Roughnecks all unceremoniously die doesn't really have the same level of tension. |
