That would have been horrible. by Mischief Maker 09/25/2014, 11:07am PDT Edge of Tomorrow is the greatest videogame movie ever made, not because it turns a franchise into a narrative, but because it captures the feeling of playing a game over and over again getting better and better at it. The "no magic blood" part was the final special stage where you have to put all your skills to get the good ending. How disappointing would the movie be if we the audience, vicariously controling Cruise the whole movie, were suddenly slapped with the bad ending through no fault of our own?
