My favorite part of the frontpage has always been that "reviews in the forums" sidebar, and if I could wave a magic wand and make the frontpage better, I'd lose the blog, and twitter feeds, and everything else and replace them with an automatically updating version of that sidebar covering the whole frontpage.

I wasn't thinking of entering title, genre, and positive/neutral/negative as metadata to arrange the posts. I merely meant for the poster to enter that data to allow review links to be automatically frontpaged with user-entered descriptors and require no additional work on ICJ's part.

On a human side, you'd think having special buttons and flags for reviews would encourage users to post more reviews. As it is, a well-written nuanced review on this site can easily be buried by a metastasized slapfight shit threads. Speaking personally, there are a lot of reviews I could have written for the 'trops that I decided against because I doubted anyone would notice.

I'd bet ICJ's friends would have better impressions of this site if the first thing they saw was a Jerry Whorebach racing review instead of a gigantic "Sheesh! Broads can't take a joke" megathread.
