Wasn't interested in the game in the first place and this didn't change my mind at all. Spray the goop from Mario Sunshine over the level, whoever covers the most turf wins. It's a pretty dull objective. You can kill other players and make them respawn, but nothing that exciting about it. Respawns are pretty quick and you can teleport (long jump) to your teammates. For some reason everyone sprays the ground only, no one ever goes vertical (most likely they're terrible players and therefore terrible people).

Biggest issue for me was the aiming. You tilt the gamepad to aim, which moves the camera, but you can also use the second control stick to move the camera left and right but not up and down. Tilting the gamepad definitely makes for way faster aiming, but I kept finding myself with the camera eventually being centered with me holding the gamepad at some weird angle. You can move the gamepad into a more comfortable position and then recenter the camera with Y, but I had to do that over and over and over oh fuck it *HOME -> CLOSE SOFTWARE*

There's two machine gun type weapons that are...ok, a bazooka that launches a line of paint across the level but fucking sucks, and a giant paint roller which is by far the best weapon for covering the level and easiest to control since you don't have to aim beyond steering your character, but you can't go vertical with it. You get bombs too, but enh.

Once the servers stopped crashing, the multiplayer matchmaking was quick and worked pretty well. Didn't really have to wait long, and while you wait you can play a little game on the gamepad screen.

The game also has a heavy 90s EXTREME vibe to it. Is that becoming fashionable again? PLAY IT LOUD *screaming, hair standing on end, electrical guitar solo*
