Come on, pussies. You want to repeal an amendment because guns scare the living shit out of you. What are you going to give up that you like? Faggots.
You are aware that guns are deadly weapons, right? When a sperglord gets his mitts on a fully automatic weapon and opens fire on a crowd, they don't respawn in 5 seconds. Aren't responsible gun owners supposed to treat their guns with "the gun is ALWAYS loaded" respect?
Being afraid of guns and wanting to keep them out of the hands of sperglords is a sign of intelligence!
Or do you think you're a cowboy movie character and your gun magically cancels out other guns like this?
Come on, pussies. You want to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons because nukes scare the living shit out of you. What are you going to give up that you like? Faggots.
Ok, ok, I was disrespectful and you responded with comedy. I concede that my attitude was poor. Additionally, I admit that you are winning the argument because you are being funny and I was being a bore. I'd like to "unmask" and re-state what I really mean here.
Guns are an interest to millions of Americans. I think it's easy for people that don't like them to try to get them banned. But what I don't see is any sort of self-reflection on the side of the ban artists. Are you willing to give up a woman's right to choose in order for guns to be prohibited? I can't say that I am... Would you give up gay marriage if it meant that the second amendment were repealed? (Not sure if repealed is the correct word in this context. Not a man of law.)
You're asking 150 million people to give up something guaranteed to them and that they enjoy to some degree. I think "the left" needs to negotiate here. There is no objective correctness when it comes to guns as something to hunt or defend yourself with. I don't trust the police response time where I live for instance, and my revolver is going to at least give me a fighting chance.
I don't think it's unreasonable to say, Ok, we'll give up guns but you guys are going to get rid of the Affordable Health Care act or Roe vs Wade or something. That's my position.
