If you don't enjoy the dialogue, the sitcom elements, the crazy internet stuff, and the radio stations, AND you don't have the imagination to wreak your own havoc in a relatively normal environment, then the game probably isn't for you.
Wreaking my own havoc is a million times more fun in GTA Online, currently my only reason to justify buying the game.
This also underscores how much better Saint's Row 3 & 4 are. A GTA-style world with the developers constantly providing FUN ways to encourage you to start raining chaos down upon it. Plus it's funny. There may be funny moments in GTA5, but playing single player feels like a chore most of the time. I do 2 missions and then get bored and start killing civilians until the swat shows up and then I wonder why I'm not just playing GTA Online. |
