You cannot possibly know what the fuck he means as a strategy for a presidency, at all, ever. Only you can! Well, you and a mix of detractors that would have been thought bizarre not long ago, they all seem to have an idea bout what's in store.
No president's campaign promises are meaningful, their behavior in office is determined by endless factors. So let's vote for the most entertaining one.
Taking out special interests on the stump doesn't prevent them from being effective, just from working directly ^ mutation of the idiotic "money in politics is pretty great after all!" argument. Yeah they have other means of controlling people, like the media. How's that been working out for them?
he'll have to put his assets into a blind trust if elected, so his re-election ain't gonna be proof from their involvement. For some men, one term is enough. Trump has already done more good things for America than Obama and Bush II combined.
It's so easy to find people that have been burned by his behavior as an investor that I know them personally, which is an accomplishment. You should probably get a job at Google then, since "burned by Trump" brings up only Marco's penis comments, until page two, with an article from noted financial watchdog The Times of Japan. The chief criticism is that he used bankruptcy to avoid repaying loans on risky real estate ventures 25 years ago:
In 1991, he took an especially big risk to build the Trump Taj Mahal. He personally guaranteed loans used to develop the project, putting his own fortune on the line if things went sour.
They did. As the U.S. muddled through a recession, Trump was unable to make good on billions of dollars of debt. He put two of his casinos into bankruptcy, sold the airline, threatened to tie up his creditors in court and cajoled and blustered his way into deals that erased much of the guarantees on the Taj Mahal that endangered his personal wealth.
The bankruptcies — four in all, stretching over nearly a decade — left many casino lenders and vendors bitter. They got just pennies on each dollar they were owed.
Was the guarantee a verbal agreement? If I put up something as collateral, and I don't pay, the bank takes the collateral. Most of his fortune then was in real estate and I'm pretty sure liens had already been invented, so what was the problem? Obviously more to this story than we're seeing.
Even if he robbed those people at gunpoint, he's still made a lot of people rich and is better than the treasonous Hillary, or Ted Cruz who is from a doomsday cult. |
