Maher did what he does - scored easy points in front of a live audience - and Trump optioned to take him at his word and then hurt him with a straight-faced legal response. If Maher didn't want that, which he clearly didn't (easy points), well get a real job you feckless boomer. He's about as sympathetic as Gawker and I wouldn't mind if he was homeless.
I hope I've made it clear elsewhere that I'm voting for Bernie, but I find a lot of the anti-Trump shares really embarassing, truly "liberal" behavior in the worst conservative-held sense - we'll think their thoughts for them out loud and discover how they're wrong. Per what I assumed was your argument, if you feel a perpetual sense of shame in the culture you live in, a guy who goes to the mat against shamers is an appealing candidate. |
