Welcome to the AGE OF FARCE. I have a theory why so many people who voted for Hillary are shook up. In general - generally speaking - looking at mass numbers of people - they probably aren't huge sports fans. Of those that are, they probably have a lot more success with their teams than the New Orleans Saints have given me. We had one good stretch, there was that, but for most of 30 years I've gotten used to being angry Sunday afternoon. You have to get over it and be a normal person again on Monday. By Monday. Tuesday at the latest. When losing is a relentless part of your life you get yourself to where you can dismiss any bad news that wasn't a result of your actual actions. Yeah, I wasn't thrilled when Trump won but I wasn't thrilled when John Carney missed the extra point after the River City Relay, or when Phil Luckett tackled Joe Horn on a flea flicker or when 7-9 Marshawn Lynch knocked all 11 defensive players off him to grab his crotch and score and Alex Smith ran untouched into the end zone after I had already called to cackle with my brother because I thought the Saints had beaten the 49ers and so forth or when they drafted a punter in the first round.
So this is an example of where just watching sports can build character.
Thanks for everyone's continued reading and posting on Caltrops. Your country may have abandoned you but I never will. Worm's in charge in the meantime.
