The Signal from Tolva is pretty good. by Mischief Maker 04/15/2017, 10:21am PDT
Not amazing, but it's consistently pretty good. Basically it's Far Cry meets F.E.A.R. with No Man's Sky's aesthetic.

In a post-AI-rebellion world where humans are enslaved by machine overlords, you're a human hacker posing as a mercenary AI taking remote control of robot drones on a planet action that's equal parts acheology expedition and three-way war of conquest.

In other words, you help the green robots take over spawn points on the map to give them the edge in their three-way war with the red and blue robots so you can poke around archeological sites unmolested.

It's a strange thing to complain about, but TSfT comes with a lorebook that's kinda necessary to follow the game's plot, but the lorebook is 48 goddamn pages of small print but the game itself is maybe 8 hours total (I finished it in a week) so it's not worth the investment.

Protip: Money in this game is finite and you won't get enough to buy everything. I'd say the only weapons worth getting are the scoped sniper rifles and the beam cannons.

Yeah... not that much to say about the game because it's a solid B+ all around.

A.I.M 2 is a similar concept done much better but unfortunately that game is buggy as shit.
