I think the way Persona 5 handles it's mystery is a lot better than Persona 4 but it's not even a big part of it until you get there, you might think the reveal is needlessly complex, but I liked it all the same. Mostly what Persona 5 does right is letting you right wrongs and be heroes. The bad guys are all believable and the levels arranged around them are fun, so rather than just feeling like you're fighting mystery monsters things tend to have a lot of identity throughout.
I just liked the underdog story feeling of it. It just was a really good setting complete with really hateable bad guys. Though you might want to just get Yakuza 0 instead if it's on sale since it's probably nearly as good of an RPG if not better. |
