The term "Christian Atheists" is technically an oxymoron since both words contradict each other.

A Christian is someone who believes in the theology of that all people carry Original Sin because Adam and Eve disobeyed the god Jehovah and therefore all of their descendants must also be punished by death, except if you believe that god sacrificed his son Jesus for you then he acts as a "Get Out of Hell Free" card for you.

An atheist is someone who does not believe in any gods.

One argument that can be made is that under Christianity, "salvation is irrevocable," in that, once you believe in Jesus Christ as your savior, you cannot be unsaved and no act you do can ever cause you to lose salvation; it's like joining a credit union, once you're a member, even if you close your account you're still a member and can re-enroll even if you no longer qualify.

Thus it would be possible to be a Christian atheist: a former believer.

Anyone who wants Bible quotes to prove my arguments, please ask
