He was posting to Something Awful right before I left. SA was a site that became truly terrible because of the moderators, so of course he became too big for it. Totalbiscuit had big opinions and engaged in what Chet once called "cartoon violence" in his thinking, he was goofy and mad and I love that he would not let himself be contained or constrained.
He loved games and I don't know how you play that many while giving them all a chance at the start. You always started off with a fair chance with him in the videos I saw. I quit watching as we both grew older, he played games I wasn't interested in and life has a way of taking away the time you can spend watching another person play video games. He angered exactly the right people and it was another thing that was so, so admirable about him.
I never had a conversation with him or anything. I will miss him. |
